The ongoing goal of the Michigan Socialist Rifle Association, as working class people, to organize, educate, and empower our class in the safe use of firearms for personal and community self-defense as well as encouraging and enabling education of all manner of skills related to community defense such as disaster relief, medicine, and agriculture.

We are a multi-tendency association united by and for the working and surplus classes to host educational content like firearms safety & maintenance, marksmanship, street medic training, radio communication, and more. We operate and have membership throughout the state, in both peninsulas, and in urban and rural areas. Educational programs are made available to the public, you can learn more about them here, but range trips and programs involving phyical firearms are restricted to members only for safety and security.

We encourage Communists, Anarchists, and other Leftists to join and add their expertise or labor to our efforts to educate our communities in self and community defense. We are an organization of Socialists and we are looking for members who are educated on the tenets of Socialism, we do not tolerate Liberalism or Reaction.

Membership is handled through the national level Socialist Rifle Association organization. Once you become a member through SRA national we will be notified and put in contact with you. All prospective members are interviewed to prevent bad actors from infiltrating and to make sure that members are a good fit for the organization.
